The New England Center for Children announced Lauren Mossman, BCaBA, has received this year’s Maria Felix Lonergan Memorial Award. The Maria Felix Lonergan Award is presented annually to an individual for outstanding contributions in three areas of Maria’s lifework as an autism education professional: mentorship, advocacy of effective education, and professionalism.
Lauren is a speech and language pathologist and has been employed at NECC for more than four years. She is a board certified assistant behavior analyst and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence for Speech-Language Pathologists (CCC-SLP) with a master of arts from UMass Amherst.
Congratulations also to Beth Young and Lauren Carr, both of whom were nomianted for this special award.
About Maria: Maria Felix Lonergan was a dedicated professional during her 20-year tenure at The New England Center for Children. She was a licensed special educator and board certified behavior analyst who worked across all of NECC’s programs. As a teacher, case manager, academic specialist, program specialist and education administrator, Maria touched the lives of numerous students, staff, and families.
