More than 1,300 Runners and Walkers from MetroWest Expected to Participate and Raise Money for Autism Education and Research

What: The New England Center for Children® (NECC®), a global leader in autism education and research, will host the 13th Annual 5k Walk/Run for Autism on Saturday, May 11 at the Margaret A. Neary School in Southborough, MA. This professionally-timed race is a signature fundraising event to support NECC’s mission to transform the lives of children with autism worldwide through education, research, and technology. The race will feature the WROR 105.7 Street Team, who will provide fun and prizes at the start of the race.
Who: The New England Center for Children
Why: The CDC currently estimates that 1 in 59 children is diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder in the United States. The New England Center for Children focuses on early diagnosis, early intensive behavioral intervention, and development of life and academic skills that help children with autism live as independently as possible.
